Monday is Canberra Day and what better way to celebrate than a visit to the National Gallery of Australia’s magnificent exhibition: “Versailles: Treasures from the Palace”? As a special offer, the National Gallery has a great 2 for 1 offer, and Canberrans are invited to visit the exhibition and bring a partner or a friend for free.
Just as Canberra was officially founded as the seat of power for Australia 104 years ago; so too was Versailles built as a seat of power for France in the 17th century. This Canberra Day, we can all celebrate the culture, the beauty and vibrancy of our city by visiting Versailles.
Tickets can be purchased at the NGA or booked via Ticketek using the password ‘NGATREASURES’. Accompanied children under 16 are free and don’t forget the whole family can visit NGA PLAY after the exhibition. Versailles is in its final weeks and concludes on Monday 17 April.
