This has come across my desk and looks like fun:

Looking for something to do over your lunch break? Sick of being entertained by the same salad day after day? Come to a lunchtime concert!

The cast of Philo’s upcoming show, 42nd Street, have a musical snack that will surely delight your tastebuds while staying of your hips.

For 40 minutes (12.40pm – 1.20pm), be entertained by excerpts from the toe-tapping musical 42nd Street, which boasts such famous song and dance numbers as ‘We’re in the Money’, ‘Lullaby of Broadway’, ‘Shuffle off to Buffalo’ and the title song ‘42nd Street’.

Don’t know what the 42nd Street is about?

The show centers around Peggy Sawyer (newcomer Elle Wilcher), a small town girl who wants her name in lights on Broadway in March this year at Erindale Theatre. Cast as a chorus girl in the highly anticipated musical ‘Pretty Lady’, Peggy is later offered the lead role when the aging and jealous star, Dorothy Brock (Anne Timperley), injures herself. Will Peggy be able to step into the spotlight?
