52 year old service station robber arrested

ACT Policing has arrested a 52-year-old man of no fixed abode following an aggravated robbery in Braddon early this morning (Thursday, May 30).

Around 4am the man entered the Caltex Service Station in Braddon with a knife and threatened the staff member, demanding cash and cigarettes.

ACT Policing’s City Patrol attended the service station within minutes of the staff member hitting a duress alarm. Police located the man at the service station, took him into custody and conveyed him to the ACT Watch House.

The man has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and will face the ACT Magistrates Court later today.
