53yo man dies in Michelago quad bike crash

Police are investigating a fatal crash in Michelago, about 50km south of Canberra.

About 5pm yesterday, a 53-year-old man rode his quad bike from his property on Tinderry Road.

Officers attached to Monaro Local Area Command were contacted about 6.30pm, after he was found lying on the roadway.

The quad bike was located overturned nearby.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics attempted to treat the man; however, he died at the scene.

A crime scene was established at the location and examined by specialist forensic officers and detectives.

While inquiries into the matter are continuing, police do not believe any other vehicle was involved in the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
