This in from the ABC:

“A Wonderful Life – A Canberra Story”

A documentary special about the lives of Margaret and Lloyd Evans. They came to Canberra in the 50s and wondered if they’d come to the end of the earth.

She went on to begin and run the Counselling Service at the ANU and he created the phytotron for the CSIRO and became President of the Australian Academy of Science.

They raised three children ( two of whom are academics at ANU) in the developing Canberra suburbs.

They bought a block of land at the coast and like so many Canberrans, they made – and still make – the annual pilgrimage down the Clyde.

Through lives both ordinary and extraordinary, they tell a story of the Canberra community.

Now in their 80s, life has thrown them one new challenge; Lloyd has Alzheimer’s.

Theirs is a life well lived and still being lived well.
