WFA and Giuila Jones.

Senator Ian MacDonald did not secure a job for Giulia Jones with Women’s Forum Australia.

Women’s Forum Australia does not know Ian MacDonald and has no connection with him.

Women’s Forum Australia did employ Giulia Jones for four months last year in an administrative capacity.

Women’s Forum Australia is not “Liberal run”. WFA is an independent women’s think tank that conducts research, education, advocacy and public policy on a range of issues of concern to women.

Our Board and Members comes from a range of political persuasions and none. A number of active WFA members have political backgrounds with the ALP.

Nah, donkey punch wins. I didn’t even know what that was. How did you know?

You don’t have a name for when you do it? 😉

Woody Mann-Caruso3:41 pm 17 Oct 08

Would that be a donkey punch?

Mother. F.cker. I can’t believe I clicked that.

VYBerlinaV8_the_one_they_all_copy2:38 pm 17 Oct 08

I wonder who he is? Another YL?

There’s about four different threads with the same stalker post.

God I love RiotACT.

Deadmandrinking1:51 pm 17 Oct 08

Yeah, on the witch-hunts thread. Don’t lie…you stole my material! Bastard!

There’s another one?

Hey Jakez – can you feel that hot breath on the back of your neck, it’s going to be Steven Doyle (Zed’s Chief of Staff) about to punch your lights out. He was apparantly overheard in campaign head quarters saying, when this election is over I’ll crack open jakez head.

Would that be a donkey punch?

Damn, that’s what I should have said.

And Jimbo…where IS vg? And Maelinar for that matter? Riot-Act just doesn’t seem the same without their particular brand of moronic.

I suspect Mr Doyle would have trouble pulling the top off a rice pudding…

Jeez where’s vg and and his “everyone’s tough at the end of a DSL” schtick?

Nothing to worry about, cause you probably won’t see it coming.

Four post douchebag. My first stalker, I’m truly honoured.

The way things are going for the Libs, Steven Doyle will be looking for a new job after the weekend (as will Zed), so they’ll have better things to do than smash jakez.

For me, the funniest thing about this whole affair was seeing this nutty ‘Women’s Forum’ attempting to ride in and rescue Giulia. What’s next? A pro-Zed Opus Dei parade through garema?

I actually think they are trying to distance themselves from her. It’s mostly denials of links with the Liberals, and the only admission is that she worked for them for four measly months “in an administrative capacity” (which implies she was just a temp when she was in fact their “Funds Development Manager”).

This just proves my point after Giulia was inside the 100m zone. She will do anything to get elected. I wonder when the Liberals will come out and say they will do an investigation into this. Obviously the Senate will have to investigate.

Oh jesus christ no. I can’t escape this madness.

Sorry – italic failed on the quote from D-man

In fact I think you will find that Zed has recently registered several thousand Moonies as liberal voters in the ACT!!!

WFA does not represent women’s interests, they represent their own interests.

Thank you for the link election08 http:/unbelief.org/articles/melinda-tankard-reist/

This explains alot about Giulia. Right wing nutters.

There’s simply no way someone gets a shot at a senate seat ‘within a few days’ without a federal heavy behind them. Every senate seat in Australia has would-be candidates lined up 5-deep, years in advance. Something is fishy about this.

You’re right and she didn’t have a shot. She was a filler.

Then why on earth did she quit her job and move back to Hobart?! Here’s a quote from Tasmania’s Mercury: “But Liberal sources say the up-and-comer who moved to Hobart to contest the seat without her army captain husband — who is in Canberra and visits as often as possible — has little chance of a top-three spot.”

Hmm good point. I have no answer for that.

What? You haven’t heard about the big rally this afternoon at 2pm? David Clarke is the guest speaker.

Huh?

Oh, and jakez, I agree about the anti-Sam Newman thing.

I don’t deny it. That’s only because RiotACT was the first I’d heard of it though.

OMFG IT MUST BE TRUE!

The anti-abortion anti-embryo cloaning policy of WFA annoy me. BUT IT’S THE ANTI SAM NEWMAN POLICY THAT REALLY GETS ME ANGRY!

That man is a legend of the Geelong Cats and a national treasure.

…well he is a legend of the Geelong Cats

You’d want to have watertight, undisputed evidence that was valid in a court of law to run a story like this a day before an election – otherwise the Canberra Times could really get itself into trouble. Not that I’m saying it’s true, but the CT not running it doesn’t say much. The fact that no one’s denying it in the Liberal Party though….

Why didn’t the Canberra Times run this story!?

Woody Mann-Caruso9:01 am 17 Oct 08

Oh, I’m deadly serious.

mdme workalot8:57 am 17 Oct 08

Not sure if you’re being serious WMC, but these people really do make me sick.

WFA – IMO you are all moral terrorists – nothing more, nothing less. Surely as a women’s ‘think-tank’, you should be endorsing and discussing the views of all women. You sure as hell don’t represent me…

From their May 07 newsletter:
“WFA’s own Giulia Jones packed up and returned to her home state of Tasmania within
a few days of being given the opportunity to stand for pre-selection on the Liberal Party
Tasmanian Senate ticket, taking young son Felix with her (as well as her unborn child
of course!). Giulia put in a huge effort in her attempts to convince the pre-selectors that having a young woman who understood the needs of other young women – especially
young mums – on the ticket would be a good thing for the party and the electorate.
And she hasn’t given up – Giulia hopes to give it another try in a few years.”

You people make me sick. You, and Gloria Jeans coffee. And Hillsong.

Well, here’s what the WFA newsletters have to say about Giulia with a G – available from their website “from the horse’s mouth”.

From their Dec o6 newsletter:
“Meet Giulia Jones, our new Funds Development Manager and general admin assist-
ant. Giulia comes to us with a wealth of experience on both sides of politics having
worked as a PA, political staffer, government funding liaison officer and workplace
advocate.“

Quote: “Women’s Forum Australia is not “Liberal run”.”

In fact the Womens Forum Australia is not connected with any party in Australia.

That is only because there is no christian fundamentalist party that is far enough to the right for that organisation to support.

Is this who WFANationalOffice is?
