Jamie was a great guy and he would have done anything for his friends and family.
I just want to say that your not all angels and the only reason you are saying any of this is beacuse you can bag anyone and anything without your identity being shown. Man up people and grow some balls

I’m no angel but I’d much rather help someone than hurt them. Last time I smacked someone in the mouth because they deserved it I cried afterwards. Call me a weak girly-man, if you want. Oh, and please Eskimo, call me Mike.

I believe Timberwolf has the same understanding as to what happened as myself.

I feel that this person should be held to some level of responsability, not because I’ve ever met the victim, but because I feel she provided the motive, opportunity and organised for the assailants transport to and from the scene of the crime!

And it looks to me this woman and left several emails above writing how hurt she feels by this situation and how the victim was very close to her.

Come on guys? where’s her accountability!!

Timberwolf659:08 am 26 Mar 09

Apparently the victim owed a certain female money, it might of been drug related and it might not. So some persons or person of interest was assigned the job to get the money back, not sure if the actual outcome was meant to happen or whether it was just to simply rough him up…but when you beat the crap out of someone accidents can and will happen.

The addiction is “not there” before the drugs are, or the sex is, or the internet porn is, how can one be addicted to something if you’ve never tried and never will? If you are saying that the potential for addiction exists, you have a (slight) point.

However, nothing you have said so far in anyway disproves or refutes my assertion; “It takes time, money and a degree of dedication to build up an addiction.”

Even if the potential for addiction exists, which it does,as no one can be immune to an addiction to an addictive substance (eg diazepam.) But this will only occur if they choose to use it, or have forced on them, for a sufficient length of time and at an addictive level of exposure. The addiction however does not start with the first dose or taking, tollerance is needed to aquire addiction.

Trust me on this..

big cans there …

People fuel addictions, sure, but addiction is the forebearer and the drugs are just the way that an addict can act out, like with alcohol, gambling, sex, eating disorders etc. It doesn’t make it okay, it doesn’t excuse the lives that can be destroyed but if the impression I got from this is correct, I don’t accept that a ‘degree of dedication’ is the right way to phrase something that is so soul destroying.

Addiction can be mental or physical, or a combination of both. However it is an uncontroversial fact that no one gets addicted to a substance or activity on their first try, as was stated so eloquently buy Micky91;

U know how smokes are adictive well so are drugs!!! if u have them once u cant really stop

One has to expose oneself to the substance/activity numerous times before one becomes addicted. Heroin users normally throw up or become ill on their first few tries, the substance has to build tolerance in the body before one can be classified as addicted.

Some people have no respect for those left behind!

If “those left behind” are honest citizens worthy of respect, then it’s highly unlikely they would attempt to silence the truth with insincere public outpourings of grief.

Violent drug-dealing scumbags deserve no respect and nor do those who apologise for them.

Incidentally, you should concentrate on your schoolwork instead of associating with criminals – your lack of literacy will become a severe handicap for you when you eventually try entering the workforce.

Cry me a river dexi. If Peisley was an alter boy we still wouldn’t give a rats. The fact that he was a species of maggot that specialised in making other peoples lives a misery makes heaping sh!t on his still warm corpse all the more satisfying.

You sprout off about how no one knows whats really going on, and maybe they don’t. Do you know all of this low-lifes victims – the people that we’re not his family and friends? The people he wouldn’t go out of his way to do anything for? No. What you know is sh1t.

On your way home tonight stop by the chemist and pick up some harden the fcuk up tablets.

Why keep up this crap. You don’t know the guy. You don’t know his friends. All you know is what someone has posted on an open forum.

Clown Killer2:34 pm 24 Mar 09

The very public outpouring of grief is a product of the late 20th century. As a society we seem to have embraced these overtly public demonstrations of mourning. Perhaps it’s a case that for those who need to express their grief so ostentatiously this is exactly the place they should be.

Jim the moral high ground on the issue is you don’t spill the nasties in public till after the funeral for the sake of the family.

“indirect result of being involved in drug dealing. But it’s not ‘manners’ to say that, is it?”

Its never a good idea to name someone as a drug dealer unless your doing it over the phone in private. I’ve always found showing drug dealers good manners helpful. What you might like to say after they have died is they always gave good tick.

Its all speculation.

dexi said :

What about the recently deceased or newbies JB. Is it Ok to abuse them for our own pleasure.

Way to distort the truth, dexi – a great many people seem to be stating that the deceased in question was highly dodgy, and died as an indirect result of being involved in drug dealing. But it’s not ‘manners’ to say that, is it?

Whether this is true or not, no one has abused the newbies. If anything, there’s been a continued consensus that the internet is not the place to hold a public grieving session.

🙁

maybe another time.

What about the recently deceased or newbies JB. Is it Ok to abuse them for our own pleasure.

This other person

jamie was a loving family member and i have never seen him or heard him be disrepectful to any of his family and true friends.
He would always be there if anyone was in trouble.
I know a close relative has read this rubbish and is even more distressed.
To loose a close family member is bad enough but to then read all this about him they are very confused as this was not the Jamie they know and knew.

I would hate for one of his family members to come on here & hear this vulgar, disrespectful content…

I know im not going to win this war among the many of you that don’t agree with the situation.
I just hope that for one second, you think about his family and friends!

Flapping heck. Not one full stop or comma. However, he did use apostrophes correctly, which is kind of weird. Well, he put in some correct apostrophes. However, there is some of the usual their/there/they’re confusion. And crap spelling.

My brane herts trying to actually read it though. I gather the deceased may have been a demi-saint.

Very strong candidate for FOTW right there. Tremendous stuff. No punctuation, poor spelling, literacy skills of a person significantly younger than their apparent age.

And “gay fags” – I have never seen a straight fag..

We understand that you might have had a soft spot for JP, but many other people have to put up with the results of drugs and alcohol every day. JP may have been a lovely guy, but if he chose to make his money in drugs, as has been alleged, he will not receive any sympathy from most Rioters, especially any who have expertise in health related areas.

The best thing you have said all day is “All i have learnt is to stay FAR AWAY from drugs!!!” Unfortunately, a lot more should take that advice.

I have absolutely no sympathy for anybody that deal drugs. And contrary to bella’s assertion @ post #17, I believe dealers are certainly not deserving of our respect. Why should they be? If anything they deserve our contempt.

That said, if the deceased had family that are innocent in all this, then they have certainly do my sincerest sympathies.

You said in post #23 that the guy who killed him was on drugs as well. I think you should have a chat to the police.

i have no idea who killed him!!! Yea 2 wrongs DONT make a right by far so that means that jerk didnt have to kill him!!! JP was a great person no matter what he did. U know how smokes are adictive well so are drugs!!! if u have them once u cant really stop. I agree JP DID do wrong but every1 does it once in there life but wat JP did was NO WHERE needed with wat that Jerk did to him!!!

VYBerlinaV8_the_one_they_all_copy1:25 pm 22 Mar 09

I thought he also dealed. If that’s the case he hurt a lot of people, including the poor saps who made and transported the gear. And what of the people who bought his product, and what it did to their family and friends.

Also, I’m not saying the guy who killed him was any better. But two wrongs don’t make a right – just because the guy who killed him did the wrong thing DOES NOT make what JP did any better.

Do you know who killed him? Sure sounds like it…

So what if he did drugs. MAYBE he did them for sertin reasons. Btw if ur going to be up tight to JP maybe u should act the same way towards the guy who killed him coz guess wat HE did drugs aswell!!!

VYBerlinaV8_the_one_they_all_copy1:08 pm 22 Mar 09

His dodgy drug dealing is what him killed. If HE had any respect for his family and friends, he wouldn’t have been involved in the first place.

A word of warning: RiotACT is not very sympathetic to people like JP. And nor should it be.

Oh yea and being a smart ass about saying that it was Karma is screwed up. He just died and you cant even think about his family or friends. Hay and maybe the asses who killed him will die aswell then if it’s KARMA!!!

Yea he mite of done bad stuff to these guys but that wasnt as bad as killing him. I believe in Karma but that doesnt mean Karma is gonna kill u for something bad!!! No they have a few other buildings along the lake side of the road on the north side of the bridge. That said, I didn’t know any of that side of the lake would be classed as Yarralumla; Acton or Weston Creek, I would have thought.

Felix the Cat4:27 pm 21 Mar 09

What business was it at Yarralumla that got burgled? The main one I can think of on Lady Denman Dr is the National Zoo and Aquarium. Or there is a horse riding school. Why don’t the police actually release info like the name of the business and what actually happened (presumably a ram raid) so that people can actually put two and two together and report what relevant stuff they might of seen. What’s the point of being secret squirrel about it all?

They are probably sifting through the drugs and firearms cache 😀

I think there is more to it then a “overdose” the police are still onsite
