DOG POISONING FRASER OFFLEASH AREA

Hi all,

Some (insert bad word that will get edited out here) appears to be leaving laced dry food biscuits on and around the Fraser offleash area. We don’t know what the substance is, but a sample has been taken to the RSPCA for testing.

I know of one dog that has been very sick but has now recovered – and thank you to that lady for passing on this information to keep other dogs safe.

Please be careful when you are taking your dogs there, and maybe don’t let them run off the leash for  a while.

If your dog does fall ill, please report it to the RSPCA who should be able to tell you what the poison is by then as well, helping your vet treat it.

Good luck all. Lets hope this scum gets found and prosecuted quickly.

I didn’t know that there was an offleash area in Fraser. There has been a lot of dog poisoning cases lately like around Belconnen, so this just gives owners more reason to be careful of wankers who take advantage of them because of their lack of street safety and love of food(in most cases)… so very low.

Probably some sick son of a bitch that needs to be put down for good.

What the hell is wrong with people these days?

That is awful – actually you need to report it to TAMS as they have the responsibility for the open areas like this. The RSPCA can certainly help but TAMS have the people to monitor, clean up and take things further.

I wonder if it is the same evil substance that many dog owners let their animals spray on our establishing hedge, haha.

But I agree, this is pretty damn low.

err, Lets see what the RSPCA sample says before we have a public hanging and the spate of poisionings were mostly in Tuggers with a couple inner north. This may be the 1st of West Belconnen if proved correct.

Nah, it has happened in Evatt… I’m pretty sure. (Which is’nt West Belconnen) but close enough to Fraser. Anyway, you are right Chop71, This is the second case I’ve heard of in Belco, when I said many cases lately- I meant in Canberra in general over the last few months.

yes there has been a big spate of it in Evatt unfortunately. Including dogs who died from it.
