Is anyone else here a fan of bluegrass?
A friend just sent me this info:
Uncle Earl is an American stringband whose sound ranges from raucous to refined. An all-woman lineup presents traditional and original music that’s both feminine and powerfully danceable. Now in its tenth year, Uncle Earl has toured the United States and Europe, and has released two award-winning albums on the Rounder Records label. They’ve worked with producers Dirk Powell (Cold Mountain, Joan Baez band), and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), who called the album Waterloo, Tennessee “definitely one of the most enjoyable productions that I have ever been involved with.”

“They’re a cross between old-time music and bluegrass, you know? It’s unusual, but I tell you they’re doing it right.” Del McCoury in Rolling Stone

Looks like my Saturday is planned out.

Unfortunately I’ll be out of town of this one. ’tis a crying shame, for Uncle Earl’s melodies really get me going.
POTUS advance crew will love it.
I realise I’m a simple male….but WTF is feminine music…I thought music was one area that was non-gender specific (flame suit on) … please enlighten me
It’s you know, it’s about girls stuff..boyfriends, periods, Posh and Becks, nice dresses, snogging, that sort of stuff…
