Enjoy an entertaining twilight concert of Chopin, Strauss, Puccini & Verdi.

This month is the 200th anniversary of the birth of the most poetic of all composers: Frederick Chopin. Please join us at the Polish Embassy in Yarralumla to celebrate the life and music of Chopin. You will enjoy some of his best-loved tunes, and some passionate melodies by some of his compatriots.

This concert introduces the fabulous violinist Anna Okunev. Prepare to be dazzled by Anna’s sizzling virtuosity in gypsy tunes! Chopin loved opera and dance, so it seems fitting for this birthday celebration to include some favourites: excerpts from Puccini and Verdi; and a swirling Strauss Waltz!

The concert will last 80 minutes without interval. All tickets are $30. Seating in the Embassy reception hall is limited to 150 music lovers, so pre-booking is essential. After the concert we hope you’ll stay around for a glass of bubbly. Saturday and Sunday March 27th & 28th, 5pm at the Polish Embassy, Yarralumla.
