A giant know-all phallus screwing the future, yep, that’s Canberra all right!
How nice to have our metaphorical rogering commemorated as a virtual post card, I had so nearly doublethinked it out of my memory too.
I love how the artist has left the photoshop job half done, like the image was too disgustingly accurate to finish. It is as if her hand faltered on the freehand selection tool, paralysed with a sudden existential dread and sober pessimism. The image is left messy and rushed, like the bloated politicians shoved head first into what was once our future.
Sometimes imagination is the better tool…
