A shot of Adrenalin

Being totally uninformed on things board, but wishing to spoil the heck out of my mates teenagers – psuedo grandkids really – I did a bit of web research on wakeboards, and then some real life shop to shop. Got some fairly standard disinterest at a couple of places, and then I met Edd at Adrenalin who provided me with the best shopping experience I’ve had in ages.

He gave me the basics I needed to know, straight, easy to understand info. and no pressure. I took photos and went away to discuss with dad. When I returned next day to make my choice, found he needed to order the correct bindings. Being a Xmas pressie, there was a bit of time pressure from me, no hassle, leave it to Edd.

Phone call today, bindings are in and fitted, pick up whenever.

Just a real good shopping experience from start to finish, deserving of a wrap. So well done Edd, you’re a legend.

Yep, Adrenalin Plus in Lonsdale St.

Big + 1 Clown Killer, exactly what I’m talking about.

Glad to hear he wasn’t just being nice to me because I look like Santa, and that others have had a good experience too.

dtc, I agree it’s sad this is not the usual retail experience, but that’s why I wanted to make sure I gave these guys a rap. We all have a bitch about the crappy stuff that happens, it’s important to acknowledge that when people give a toss, life can also be truly excellent.

The staff at Adrenalin are all definately awesome, but props definately go out to the late James Horton for making such a fantastic business and creating such a great atmosphere for customers to be in.

Miss you James.

The opposite of that is Super Toyworld in Fyshwick. We walked in there at 5.40 yesterday and was aksed if we were going to be long as they were closing. Closing at 5.30 the week before Christmas. A toy store closing at 5.30 the week before xmas!

She happily informed us that they wouldn’t be opening later at all this week……And these guys are probably the first to say how hard it is to operate a small business these days.

I bought a bodyboard from Braddon and they actually told me to buy the cheaper one since it would suit me better.

Having said that – its somewhat of a sad comment that going to a store and receiving proper advice from people who know what they are talking about is regarded as worthy of praise (rather than being the norm).

If you are talking about Adrenalin+ in Braddon then it gets a massive vote from me as well. I’ve bought tons of stuff from there and have nothing but praise. Also, they seem to have a low staff turnover rate which is probably a good thing.

Don’t know if it was Edd or not, but those guys were great when I was buying a skateboard for my daughter. I know sh!t about skateboards and they didn’t treat me like some middle-aged dickhead – just offered simple, straight forward advice and no bullshit. Highly recommended.

You mean Adrenalin+ in braddon? If so, those guys are GREAT!
