24-year-old ACT resident Christopher Russell Hill has been extradited to Victoria to face charges over insider trading, according to the ABC.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics employee allegedly disclosed unpublished data to NAB employee and friend Lukas Kamay in Melbourne, aiding in prediction of Australian dollar movement.

Mr Hill made a brief appearance in the ACT magistrates court and was refused bail.

Mr Hill is accused to have pocketed around $60,000 from the $7m deal, the majority of which went to Mr Kamay.
