The ABC has a report on the ACT Heritage Council getting a right old kicking from ACAT over the heritage listing of St Patricks Church in Braddon.

ACAT found the evidence did not satisfy any of the requirements for heritage listing.

The tribunal was also highly critical of the Heritage Council, finding their work contained factual errors and did not measure up to the expectations of an expert body.

The heritage listing has now been removed, opening the way for the site to be included in redevelopment plans for the area.
