The Chiefly Stanhope is thrilled to announce the ACT still has the fastest growing economy in the nation with a stonking 8.1% growth rate.

“This is a remarkable result for such a small economy as ours,” Mr Stanhope said. “The ACT’s 8.1 per cent growth rate demonstrates the fiscally-responsible approach we adopted, heading in and out of the global financial crisis, has been effective.

“The CommSec report highlights that the ACT continues to benefit from low levels of unemployment (currently 3.3%) and a strong housing market.”

You obviously dont own property in Omalley then?

Go and talk to small business owners, and find out how the economy is going for them. My wife had one of her regular reps call her and the rep was excited because none of her other ACT stores wanted her to bother visiting. My wive’s shop and the others in the complex have been very slow since Christmas, ditto my Uncle’s store on the other side of town. Customer spending in ACT is well down compared to the same time last year.
