One of the worse thing about living in 2013 is the paid government operatives cluttering social media applauding each other and laughing at their bosses jokes. (That this is one of the worse things is probably a good reflection on how far we’ve come).
Owen has sent the above in with this note:
I take it Mayor Rattenbury has got Action Busses working for him. I want bus info out of Action buses, not Rattenbury crap
Owen, if you think that a post celebrating “International Women’s Day” is simply “Rattenbury crap” I think you’d better check yourself
I wonder if ACTION Buses is the same guy who was tweeting for ACTLibraries that got the ire of Johnboy last year.

Basically if it is not bus information on Action feed, it’s *crap* full stop, period, amen, end of story
Other Action servile tweets for Rattenbury today have included something about a ‘tea party” and another item about “reconcilliation stage”
The last need we need is self serving politicians using the public service to propagate their agenda and do their bidding. They are meant to serving the public, not themselves (ha ha)
If I or any one else wants the wisdom of Rattenbury or any other politician, then we can voluntarily subscribe to their respective feed, let’s not pollute information feeds.
Unlike some other taxpayer funded propaganda and back-slapping, at least this doesn’t involve killing trees – although it does still involve wasting money which has been compulsorily extracted from the public, and which might be better used doing truly useful things. I tend to think of this sort of crap when I hear Government spokespersonages explaining that “yes, public services may cost more in Canberra than elsewhere In Australia, but the Canberra public demands, and is prepared to pay for, quality” – yeah, right.
If there’s anything less worth confecting outrage over I’ve yet to see it
