An end to UC’s mad Melbourne dreams

By 24 January, 2013 0

The Canberra Times reports that efforts by the University of Canberra to have a Melbourne campus have been scuppered by the Government:

The university unveiled last year its national aspirations, announcing a partnership with the Holmesglen TAFE in Melbourne, creating the University of Canberra Melbourne.

But a university spokesman confirmed this morning the federal government had scuttled the deal, rejecting the application on the basis approval had not been granted for the university to expand beyond its designated campuses.
