Chief Minister Stanhope has explained the plans for free bus transport to the Anzac Day dawn service, and excellent idea considering the parking mayhem around the memorial as the event gets ever-bigger.

“Canberrans planning to attend the ANZAC Day Dawn Service are urged to use the special ACTION bus services,” Mr Stanhope said. “Free services will depart from the Belconnen, City, Woden and Tuggeranong interchanges from 4am. Return services depart 20 minutes after the Dawn service,” Mr Stanhope said.

The Australian War Memorial will also provide a free shuttle service to and from the Russell Hill car park to the War Memorial for the Dawn service and National ceremony.
