50th ANNIVERSARY CONVENTION

AUSTRALIAN PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY

OPEN TO EVERYONE

From 15-21 September 2012 the Australian Photographic Society will hold its annual convention at the Southern Cross Club, Corinna Street, Phillip ACT. This year’s event is to celebrate their 50th anniversary and is open to everyone!

This event held over 7 days will include top Australian and overseas speakers, workshops on a range of subjects, tours to local photographically interesting venues, social events and exhibitions – something for everyone!

Keynote speakers will include:

  • Robyn Beeche, an internationally acclaimed photographer.
  • Natasha Egan, who is Associate Director and Curator, Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago.
  • Raoul Slater an outstanding Australian nature photographer and author. Raoul was the winner of the BBC Wildlife Magazine Travel Writer of the Year 2005.
  • Margot Manchester, an APS member and who has an artist’s background, will speak about her fictional images.
