Well, while I’m not up to speed enough to charge someone to do it I’m certainly motivated now to get my shit together. These humble bundles won’t play themselves but that might just have to wait.
Thanks for throwing me under the bus there pink little birdie…
Yes I have developed corp apps in the past, and whilst I am a fan of the iPad from a user point of view, I am not exactly happy with apple’s developer policies (and in fact have just finished filling out a feedback form from a support call, lets just say I didn’t hold back on my thoughts).
I want to evaluate a windows 8 tablet as I suspect I’d be able to do some wonderful stuff with it, provided MS don’t make it an absolute bitch for us developers to work with them.
I’ve been doing work as an apps developer now for the last year and a half, but all corp app stuff, which means pretty little graphics and animations have been given a miss in place of things like data integrity, speed and reliability. (It’s amazing how frustrating a fancy screen change can be if you see it 150 times a day, and each time takes 5 seconds)
Lynette Johns-Boast at the ANU Engineering School runs the 4th year software engineering course which includes a year long industry project. Most of the projects over the last couple of years have been mobile, and some of them have been pretty slick.
Give her a call and she should be able to give you the names of the cream of the crop.
For Riot ACT?
Actually not for us right now. But a good list will be helpful for a great many folk.

HarveyK has delved into the app world recently though not impressed with Apple. (sorry for throwing you under the bus)
Give IceLab a shot. They produce top quality work.
Where’s Imagine Team when you need them? I’m certainly a fan of MyBus.
