Sydney style schoolyard stabbing

By 9 March 2010

Well, ABC are reporting that our impressionable youngsters have caught up with the latest trend amongst stupid youngsters, Knives.  It seems that our kids are now sick of filming burnouts on you tube and have taken to stabbing eachother.
Apparently a youngster was stabbed in an altercation outside Erindale College at lunch.
Hmmm, was it Drugs?  Was [...]

Who says that Canberra is boring?

By 15 December 2009

What an interesting week so far…..
An explosion in Mitchell with three injuries!
A dead body on a driveway in Turner!
Various objects being hurled at varous Magistrates!
Last week a “non-suspicious” death of a taxi driver (sorry, but methinks that there is more to this than meets the eye).
Niftydog being able to flick a fart from a moving vehicle…..
Who [...]

By 10 December 2009

Does anyone know why there is a very apparent surveillance operation going on near Wentworth Ave and Cunningham St?

Dodgy neighbours and cameras

By 18 November 2009

I have a neighbour (Old Mate) who has lived in my street for as long as it has been a street.  Recently a new neighbour (Big Burly Builder) has moved into the place next door, did a knock down/rebuild and built an unapproved McMansion right up to the foot path blocking everyone in the streets view, this [...]

What to do with a Diplomat who goes on a demolition Derby in Woden?

By 13 June 2009

This afternoon at the Hellenic Club in Woden, a car decided that it would be fun to shunt other cars in the carpark and drive off.  Unfortunatly he was apprehended by two public servants who managed to get his details before he fled the scene and in the process hit another car.
When this gentlemen was [...]

WTF is going on in Canberra these days?

By 14 October 2008

I have just read this article and it is apparent that there is really something wrong with Canberra these days.   How can a Lady who takes a standover man to another Lady’s residence to cause trouble not get charged?
A 24-year-old Canberra man has been found guilty of threatening a woman with a drill at her Canberra [...]

More Massey Mumblings

By 18 September 2008

The ABC reports on the latest news out of the Charnwood murder proceedings.
It just keeps on going on does it not?
“Paul Edward Elson from Palmerston was a neighbour of Rebecca Anne Massey who is charged with murdering Elizabeth Booshand at the Charnwood shops in July.  Elson is accused of taking the clothes Massey was wearing on [...]

Hector Scott – HIV sex worker jailed

By 15 September 2008

The ABC has a report on Hector Scott’s sentencing.
It is bad enough that you cannot get charged with murder in the ACT, but this fiend gets only 2 1/2 months for possibly infecting innocent friends with HIV.  I would consider that assault with a deadly weapon because he was aware of his infection and continued on his [...]

Exploring underground bunkers near Canberra

By 2 September 2008

In the past, RA has had a fair bit on Urbexing. (Going down tunnels and exploring not so normal areas for fun.)
I myself love doing this and there is always the chance that you will find something that has been lost, hidden away or forgotten.  I have heard stories for years about people finding old bunkers [...]

What have the Canberra Raiders been up to over the years?

By 5 August 2008

With all the Todd talk going on i was wondering what other events have occurred in the Raiders history.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what they have been up to off the field? I ask this because there always seems to be sportspeople in the paper or on the news for non-sport occurrences.
I just [...]

McKellar man sentenced for ‘opportunistic crime’

By 9 July 2008
Another fine example of ACT supreme court sentencing.
This would have been a different outcome in NSW.
