About Rebecca Vassarotti

Rebecca Vassarotti is an independent consultant who works with the local and national community sector. Rebecca is a board member of Community Housing Canberra and the ACT Racing and Gambling Commission, where she has a specific role around expertise in problem gambling and harm minimisation. She sits as a community member of ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal, working in areas including guardianship and energy and water.

Prior to establishing her own consultancy business, Rebecca worked as the Deputy CEO at Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS), a role that came after a long association with the Council of Social Service movement, serving on the Boards of ACOSS and the ACT Council of Social Service. For 10 years Rebecca was Executive Director at the YWCA of Canberra, working in areas including children’s services, community development, housing, youth services, professional training, and women’s leadership. Rebecca remains involved as a volunteer of YWCA.

Rebecca stood as an ACT Greens candidate in the 2016 ACT Election.
