A 60-year-old Queanbeyan man is in a critical condition in hospital following a single vehicle collision in Fyshwick this morning (Wednesday, April 13).
Around 7.50am, police attended the intersection of Newcastle Street and Wollongong Street, where a white Toyota van had collided with a sign at the Shell service station.
The man was taken to The Canberra Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
ACT Policing’s Collision, Investigation and Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the cause of the collision.

A mate of mine had an off at that exact spot. Bloody tradies treat Newcastle Street like a race track. Those roundabouts are enticing, but not the best place to release your inner Schumacher.
