Ben Fordham from ACA on Canberra radio

Ben Fordham from A Current Affair called in to the drive show on 2CC about bailing up Belinda Neal in the carpark.

It’s a bit hypocritical trying to expose someone as a bully by being a bully.

Why would he go to the effort of ringing Canberra talkback if he has nothing to hide?

Belinda Neil may be a bully, but two wrongs don’t make a right. Chasing people on the public highway is wrong,(remember Diana?) harrasing individuals is wrong, particularly 3 blokes on one woman. IMO many of these journos are just a**holes.

look, Tabloid shows like ACA & TT don’t really care who they hurt. My step brother was killed in a plane crash in the blue mountains. I found out after receiving a phone call from one of these shows to see whether I had a comment. NOTE: not my parents or other relatives, but a tabloid told me the worst.

He had been missing for several days, we hadn’t given up hope. I wish that the chaser’s war on everything would keep on going after these programs, maybe it will sink in eventually….

John Brogden…

But why would he even bother calling? Just after an ego boost?

There was the case a few years back of the man who killed himself after being ‘exposed’ by A Current Affair – I don’t think a suicide hypothetical is unreasonable, there’s only so much an individual can take.

Why would he go to the effort of ringing Canberra talkback if he has nothing to hide?
To defend himself against incorrect or unjust accusations perhaps?

Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s probably an ass, I have no time for ACA and not much more for 2CC. But really, that was one of the more ridiculous questions I’ve ever seen posed…

Neither ACA or Mike Welsh have a great deal of credibility.

The only thing I give Welsh credit for is that he banned happy-clappy Jacquie Burke from his program for ‘misleading’ him.

I think Belinda Neal and ‘A Current Affair’ deserve each other – both low lifes with pretensions of grandeur.

Actually I thought the reason Fordham was calling Mike Welsh was pretty clear. Welsh claimed that Fordham was a bully based on a conversation with a third party about Fordhams piece on Belinda Neal which hadnt yet gone to air.

That Welsh decided to throw in a supposition that he’d be responsible for Neal’s suicide IF she had, IMO was a bit pointless and stupid.
