LOS CHAVOS have been playing festivals and venues in and around Canberra since 2006. Made up of talented local jazz musicians and headed by Andy Jauregui, a former latin rock singer from Cochabamba (Bolivia) the bands punchy horns and infectious street rhythms are not to be resisted.

Supported by local DJs Alex Carder + Rafa Chango spinning urban latino sounds and with
$5 Absolut Vodka between 9–?11 pm the night will be one to remember!

Digress, a locally owned establishment, believes heavily in promoting young talent and the student culture in Canberra. The event will be run with the help of the ANU Latin America Students Association (LASA) and ANCLAS, who bring together students, scholars and others interested in Latin America and regularly run public lectures, seminars, film showings and cultural events associated with this fascinating part of the world.
