The War Memorial have unleashed a mindblowingly good video promoting their “Big Things in Store” exhibition of all the awesome that doesn’t fit into the building on Anzac Parade.

What is a Beaufort Bomber? Come and find out at Big Things in Store at the Australian War Memorial’s large technology conservation annexe at 8 Callan Street, Mitchell, Australian Capital Territory Australia, on Sunday 18 September 2011.

Big Things in Store is a once-a-year only opportunity to see inside the Memorial’s storage area of large technology objects.

Here’s your chance to talk to the experts and get behind the scenes on the restoration of a Lockheed Hudson and a WW2 Japanese Ha-Go tank.

Also on show is a De Haviland Tiger Moth, a V2 rocket on its original trailer (the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere), Centurion tanks and a prototype Bushmaster Infantry Mobility Vehicle – the basis of those operated by Australian Diggers in Afghanistan today. Plus lots more…

That is indeed a nicely-produced video. Linking the transitions to the beat of the music was a nice touch.

Helps when you’ve got cool material to work with.

Yegads… unlike my corner of the APS, a comms unit that actually knows what it’s doing! Don’t let them escape whatever you do, or you might end up with the one we’ve got!!!
