The ABC reports that a 54 year old youth worker has been charged with supplying kids at the Bimberi Youth Justice Centre with weed.

Community Services Minister Joy Burch says the man was charged after Bimberi management contacted police.

“It shows that we have some robust systems at Bimberi and unusual and untoward behaviour is noticed,” she said.

“Any suggestion of any prohibited item being brought into Bimberi is absolutely unacceptable.”

Ms Burch says the Government will also look into the incident.

How on earth could a youth worker at a detention centre be that stupid???? Nail the fool.

Staff at the prison are routinely and randomly screened for drugs, using non-invasive high-tech methods. Just no dogs, perhaps because no-one knows what to do if the dog “indicates” the scent of drugs on a staff member, a scent which could come from numerous legitimate sources such as actually handling drugs in the course of their work (nurses, doctors, officers conducting successful searches).

Perhaps that what ‘fgzk’ quotes!

Interesting, given Frot is a slang term derived from frottage (ult. from the French verb frotter, “to rub”) describing a form of non-penetrative male/male sex.

Regular full body x-rays are not safe. Whores get paid an extra $150 (+) ass money. I think that would be a fair allowance to pay staff. Market value and all. It might help attract staff.

What exactly is ass money? Doesn’t the regular fee cover that? Please forgive my lack of knowledge about hooker pricing models.

And they don’t do it at the AMC?

Yes, where did it say they didn’t? Visitors bring drugs in too. Maybe they should be banned.

They could be searched in a similar way. I’m wondering if all the fuss over drugs in jail at the moment originates with staffs refusal to submit to routine intrusive searches.

I doubt there would be many takers for a job where you’re routinely ‘invavded’… (I know there’s a solid joke here, but it’s not coming to me this morning) Maybe the prison should use some of the airport security measures for their staff – full body x-rays etc.
