Elaine Stanford and Sandie Parkes (coowners of The Green Shed) presented a cheque for $10,000 to Lisa Salerno of Boundless Canberra last week.

The Green Shed accepts a range of unwanted items that can be resold, such as books, furniture, bikes, clothing, gardening items and sporting goods, preventing a huge amount of perfectly good items going to landfill each year.

The Green Shed also raises money for a great range of charities across Canberra through their charity days – which run on the last Wednesday of each month – donating 100% of the total sales for that day to the charity until $10,000 is raised.

The money donated will go towards stages 2 and 3 of the park.

The next charity on the list is A Gender Agenda.
