Brumbies borrowing Danny Buderus to stiffen their tackles

By 8 November, 2012 2

The Brumbies have let it be known they’ve hired a current NRL player, Danny Buderus, to come down once a week and help them work on their tackling:

Buderus will maintain his position as a player with the Knights in the NRL, travelling to Canberra one day a week through to the start of the NRL season to coach tackle-specific skills. The University of Canberra Brumbies have identified the initial contact in defence as an area where they can improve and see Buderus as the perfect mentor to make that happen.

An intriguing move…

Seems a bit loony to me, but I guess they know what they’re doing.
