Burning rubber smell in Mitchell

ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at the Department of Transport and Regional Services warehouse on Huddart Court, Mitchell, investigating a smell of burnt rubber.

No sign of fire.

Approximately six staff have been evacuated as a precaution.

1:59 PM

ACT Fire & Rescue crews are now departing the scene.

Cause of smell has been undetermined and an electrician will further investigate.

Staff permitted to return to building.

Reminds me of the joke about the old guy who goes to a brothel
