CityNews reports that the doyenne of Canberra FM radio (such as it is), Cam Sullings, is moving to the heart of the government patronage machinery.
Canberra FM Radio general manager Eoghan O’Byrne says after 20 years, Cam has “decided to embark on a new journey” and accepted a position with ActewAGL as their Senior Sponsorship & Events Officer.
How lovely for them all.
Never heard of Cam, but I do look forward to reading all about him in the bright, shiny, printed on expensive paper, booklet which arrives in the envelope with my next power and water bills. I guess that will be the same booklet which will bring the joyous news of the roll-out of “smart meters” – gadgets which seem to be very popular with people who tend to be comfortably ensconced in publicly-funded office buildings at times of peak power demand. Life is good!
Doyen, surely? Although, never having listened to this person, it may be a woman, in which case doyenne is correct.
Now I am happier.

He should have stayed with the radio station. ACTEW is a horrible place to work. Good luck to him, he will need it.
Smart meters aren’t happening any time soon.
