After a break for a few years, the Canberra Custom Knife Show is back on December 9th from 10am – 3pm. It will be held at the Tharwa Village Hall and focus on the work of local makers. Canberra has a small but growing knife making community.
There will be a range of kitchen, sporting, folding/pocket and utility knives on sale and an opportunity to talk with the makers about their craft. There will be technique videos showing some of the different skills in making a knife.
Also on display will be a range of hand made target and hunting bows and medieval armour by a local maker.

The really good ones are trained at the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
I know a knife maker does some great work but won’t sell them to anyone I have been trying to get a skinning knife out of him for years. I ended up buying a kershaw folder and grinding the tip round so as to not Pearce the skins
