The Canberra International Chamber Music festival is on from Friday 29 April to Sunday 8 May. It’s a series of chamber music concerts, including a special one just for the 1-4 year olds (Baby Mozart).

Many of the performers will also be playing live on ABC 666 AM – click here for details.

You can find full details of the festival at this website.

An easy intro to classical (and not so classical) music – apart from the usual Mozart and Beethoven, there’s also performances of music by Miles Davis and Gershwin, Metallica and Radiohead, medieval recorder pieces, a guitar quartet, a sax group, and Bach’s coffee cantata (yep, music devoted to caffeine).
