Canberra Oil Company floats?

Now normally there wouldn’t be much interest here in a public offering by a company called Northern Territory Oil.

Only they’ve also put out a media release explaining the Canberra connections of the company:

Founded in a ‘garage’ in Higgins by two local entrepreneurs, the company opened its ASX listing bid this week… John Campbell, a Canberra resident, economist and ex-diplomat… one of the first shareholders… Northern Territory Oil is the only oil exploration company to be founded and based for most of its life in Canberra

So there you go, not quite a brewery but it is oil.

Best of luck with it then. Drop me a line if you want another economist (ex ABARE) on board.

Not a scam 🙂

Ian and I have worked on other projects together in the past and we’ve been friends for more than ten years. In this case it made sense to put him in the CEO role.

I would have hoped people’d be hoping an ACT company got up, rather than being negative about it.

Sitting on multiple boards is one thing but a board member and CEO of one company who are also directors of another company together….

Plenty of examples of people sitting on multiples boards of directors, I would think, but CEO is a different kettle of fish all together.

Its interesting how the co-founders are also directors of another company (privately held)..

How many public listed organisations do you know where a CEO and company director are directors of another company together ?

Scam………
