Last weekend Canberra mountain bikers Leigh Darrell, Caroline Buchanan and Aiden Nemet, took out their classes in the first two rounds of the national four cross championships at Sydney Olympic Park. Leigh and Caroline won their Elite Mens and Elite Womens classes on Saturday, and then returned for round 2 on Sunday and won again. Aiden took out the Mens under 19 class on Saturday, but just missed out with 2nd place on Sunday. All three riders are now leading their class in the national 4X championships.

Looks like Canberra’s investment in a world class 4X course at Stromlo Forest Park is already paying dividends.

More details are on the MTBA website and Bright Orange Events.
