We’re letting you in on Canberra’s best kept secret: Canberra is the location for Australia’s biggest annual Irish set dancing event on 7-9th October at the Cook Neighbourhood Hall.

SET dancing is Irish social dancing with reel rhythm – it’s not Riverdance! Set dancing is couples dancing in a group of eight to great Irish music, is mentally challenging, sociable, unbelievably good exercise and most importantly – great fun or craic, as the Irish would have it.

Join the growing crowd for an enjoyable weekend of dances (ceilis) and workshops, where you can learn all the intricacies of dance sets (patterns) and footwork.

This is not costume dancing however leather-soled or slippy shoes are best to dance in.

For more information about set dancing and what it is, see www.SetDancing.com.au. For more information about this event, go to www.mabula.net/setdancing/workshop.html.
