Canberra Youth Theatre’s range of workshops and actor ensembles for 2013 are now open for enrollment!
This year, CYT is running acting ensembles for kids aged 7-9, 10-12 and 13-17. These twice-weekly, after school programs introduce and develop performance skills and acting theories; ensembles work on voice, character and movement, as well as many other aspects, as a part of the programs. Whether it’s building confidence and creativity, or working as part of a group to devise a performance, CYT’s Actor Ensembles are perfect for young and emerging artists.
We are also excited to announce a new Early Childhood program, for children aged 2-6! The program provides opportunities for parents to engage with their child in imaginative play, physical and sensory exploration, music and role-playing. Children will also have the option to attend classes with tutors, while parents can relax with a coffee in our new foyer!
CYT is also running holiday workshops in the April, July and October school breaks! The workshops actively engage the imaginations of the actors as they play games, create characters and tell stories. Workshops run over five days, with tutors developing vocal, movement and character skills, as well as working with the group to devise and rehearse an original performance.
