Come celebrate Christmas at the Philippine Embassy while helping to raise funds to assist victimes of typhoon Haiyan.

Canberra’s local Filipino community will be hosting its annual Christmas celebration tomorrow in the grounds of the Philippine Embassy while there’ll also be a fundraising drive to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan, Deputy Leader of the Opposition Alistair Coe said today.

“Typhoon Haiyan devastated much of the Philippines just weeks ago and volunteers will be carrying buckets asking for gold coin donations at the Pasko sa Canberra celebrations in Yarralumla tomorrow,” Mr Coe said.

“I’ll be attending this event which is always a great success with much to do for all age groups including food and variety stalls, singing and dancing competitions, games and amusements and piñata.

“I encourage all Canberrans to get along tomorrow and experience the Philippine Christmas celebrations and donate for a good cause,” Mr Coe concluded.
