Capitals change the guard

The Canberra Times brings word on major changes at the Canberra Capitals as the old guard tire of winning championship after championship:

The Canberra Capitals are without a captain for the 2010/11 WNBL season following Kellie Abrams’s decision to retire.

Abrams has led the Capitals to back-to-back championships in the past two seasons but The Canberra Times understands the inspirational leader will not take any part in the team’s bid to win a third consecutive grand final.

Also departing are Lauren Jackson, Nat Hurst and Abby Bishop. Coach Graf is really going to earn her pay this coming season.
