Why do the police persist in describing people as Caucasian? (indigenous to the Caucasus Mountains in the Middle East?)
This outmoded term created in racist 19th century Europe should have disappeared with its equally offensive brothers “Asiatic” and “Negroid”

Homo Sapiens is universal. descriptions of members of that species should be just that, descriptive. Caucasian is applied to all “gweilo” regardless if they are blue eyed blond or tall dark and handsome. How about clean shaven? fair/dark complexion? pierced eyebrow? bad teeth? aussie accent?

Might be more of a help in identification.

Latest research indicates that Homo Sapiens are quickly dying out and we are in danger of losing this species on our planent entirely. From personal experience, police won’t accept “black” or “IC3″ on official police statements, this was in NSW though.

How about “Caucasian”, that covers a multitude of hues and is generally known and understood.
