The Canberra Cavalry will play an All Stars team this Sunday (16/1) in a ‘Fight the Floods’ game from 3.00pm at Narrabundah Ballpark to raise money for Queensland flood relief.

The ‘Fight the Floods’ game has been scheduled following the postponement of the Cavalry and Brisbane Bandits series that was due to take place in Brisbane beginning yesterday.

Entry to the game is $10 for all fans with gate proceeds going directly to flood relief. Cavalry memorabilia will also be auctioned off on the day to help raise funds along with 50% of all food takings being donated by ground caterers, Food on the Run.

The ‘All Stars’ team will be made up of up-and-coming Canberra talent not on the Cavalry roster, ACT A-Grade players and players from the surrounding region. The team is set to be managed by Cavalry relief pitcher, Dan Bradley.

Rosters for the teams will be announced tomorrow.
