Territory And Municipal Services advise that they’ll be microchipping dogs and cats for the low, low price of $20 next Wednesday 20 April.
“To encourage residents to microchip their pets, our shelter will hold a discounted microchipping day on Wednesday 20 April. Dogs and cats can be microchipped for $20, which is half the normal fee and among the cheapest in Canberra.
“Animals should be brought to the Mugga Lane Shelter for microchipping between 10 am and 3 pm.”
Bear in mind that if you get caught with an un-chipped dog or cat after 1 May it’s a $75 fine. And accidents do happen.
