In a further blow to the Brumbies pack, the side has announced that the rampaging Mark Chisholm is out for the rest of the regular season with a broken wrist.

The 28-year-old lock underwent close reduction surgery in a Durban hospital last night after remaining in South Africa so as to not inflame the injury by flying.

The injury will sideline Chisholm for between six to eight weeks.

CA Brumbies Head Coach Andy Friend says the injury is a blow for Chisholm and the side.

If they make the finals (and they’ll have to dig in deep to do that) there’s a chance he’ll be ready to play.
