ACTION have published details of their planned services for the Christmas interval:

A modified timetable will be in place over the Christmas and New Year period from Sunday 25 December until Monday 2 January. For travel during this period, plan ahead.

Checking out the Christmas Day timetable reveals a little gift from the bus network:

All commuters on Christmas Day will receive free travel.

matching NSW and making school bus travel free.

It’s not free. Last I heard (2008) it costs $470 million a year.

If ACTION is fishing for compliments it would be far better off matching NSW and making school bus travel free.

Very helpful.
The 300’s start their runs in the morning before any of the loop buses get into an interchange and leaves on its last run before the last loop buses come in from their runs (By nearly an hour in some cases). So what does anyone do if they want to catch the first bus or if they caught the last bus and end up stuck at an interchange.
Generously ACTION gave them free travel.
The money can now be used to catch an (overpriced) cab.
