Is anyone aware of any charities/charity giving trees in Canberra that are accepting groceries and non-perishables in the lead up to Christmas?

triple six will accept them

I used to go buy a whole heap of cheap crap from Aldi for these things. Then I realised that’s probably the kind of thing these people have to live off year around. So now I buy less stuff, but nice stuff. Stuff that would be a treat for me.

Most workplaces run these drives, at least mine does.

I think I heard something on abc radio this morning that theirs was going to be for communities at work. I also know that Kippax Uniting Care have something going on at the moment. Their website has a shopping list of items so they manage the type of goods they receive.
