The Canberra Museum and Gallery is looking to nail down two years work of exhibitions for the gold fish bowl like Gallery 4 which fronts onto Civic Square:

Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG) is calling for proposals from artists to create site specific works for its glass-walled exhibition space on Civic Square (Gallery 4).

The space is located adjacent to CMAG’smain entrance, opposite the Legislative

Assembly Building and is accessible for viewing twenty-four hours a day.

Fully realised proposals for works of art are welcome from artists based in the ACT region who are not currently engaged in formal study. Limited funds and equipment will be available for installation.

Installations would remain in place for around three months, sometime between February 2014 and December 2016. Artists should include their preferred time period in their proposal.

To submit an application artists must provide a description of the proposed work, including copies of related sketches/imagesif possible, a current CV and an estimate of costs involved with the installation of the work. Plans of the exhibition space can be obtained from CMAGon request.

You’ve got until COB Friday to get your ideas in.
