SEE-Change, in conjunction with the Canberra Loves 40% campaign, is organising a series of public discussions with members of our legislative assembly to discuss Canberra’s carbon emission targets. These meetings will give the public a chance to question their MLA’s about the upcoming government decision on Canberra’s emission targets.

The first meeting on 24 June in Cook attended by Ginninderra MLA’s Mary Porter, Meredith Hunter and Vicki Dunne was a resounding success.

Woden SEE-Change and Canberra Loves Forty Percent invite you to the next public discussion about Canberra’s 2020 carbon emission targets on Tuesday July 13th from 7-9:30pm at St James Church main Hall, 40 Gillies Street, Curtin.

Opening comments will be by Tony Kevin, author of the 2009 book “Crunch Time: Using and Abusing Keynes to fight the twin crises of our era”. This will be followed by a short presentation by the Climate Spokepersons for Labor (Simon Corbell MLA) and Greens (Shane Rattenbury MLA) with time for discussion and questions from the audience.

Entry by gold coin donation. For futher information contact us at woden.seechange@gmail.com

The final public meeting is at the Legislative Assembly itself on the 29th of July, so keep your eye on the website (www.see-change.org.au) for further details, or contact admin@see-change.org.au
