It’s an ongoing source of frustration in Canberra, but following this morning’s whoopsy in the Canberra Times ^[1] (screenshot below, apparently introduced by the sub-editor as it’s right in the copy) we thought it was time for a public service announcement.

Quite what Charles Conder ^[2] did to deserve having a darkest Tuggeranong suburb named after him remains a mystery to us. But it is named after the painter and his name is spelled with an “er” at the end.

The majestic condor ^[3] on the other hand is the largest flying bird in the western hemisphere and is not known for beginning the Australian tradition in Western art.
