ACT Policing has extradited a 31-year-old man from Cooma in relation to the aggravated robbery of the IGA Supermarket at Chapman last week.

About 6.20am last Monday (August, 19), a man entered the store on Perry Drive armed with a firearm, demanding cash.

Staff complied with the demand. The offender fled the premises with a sum of cash from the cash register. An IGA employee was assaulted during the incident.

Earlier today (August, 29) ACT Policing detectives, with assistance from New South Wales Police, executed a search warrant on a property in Cooma and seized several items, including a firearm.
NSW Police arrested the man on an ACT First Instance warrant. The man appeared in the Queanbeyan Local Court this afternoon, where his extradition to the ACT was granted.

He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
