There’s going to be a festival at the Cotter to celebrate the Cotter Dam!

It will most likely be a lovely day, but boy howdy do I see the word “******-fest” written on a lot of press releases. Is everywhere like this, or is Canberra going for some kind of most-festivals-per-capita record?

When we win that award, we will have a festival to celebrate.

Cotterfest is a day of celebration marking the completion of the enlarged Cotter Dam. This milestone is a significant step towards securing water for the ACT region in this, our centenary year.

WHERE: Cotter Reserve, Cotter Road ACT.
WHEN: 12 October 2013 – 9:00am – 4:00pm
HOW: Event access is via shuttle bus from Stromlo Forest Park (see parking details below).

Here’s a link to the program if you want to check out what is on offer.

That would be too cool, they’ll probably have Robyn Archer speaking, singing & accompanying herself on ukulele like at the folkfest.

Imagine if they did it right with a big sweaty rock band playing on top of the dam wall and the wall being used to project the light show?
